Electrolux Win Green House Design Award
It must be award season in the Appliance world again, as Electrolux has won another award. This time, from the Housewares Design Awards Program. One of its vacuum models, the UltraSilencer Green, is the winner of this prestigious award. It is made from 55% recycled plastic and runs on reduced electricity, decreasing noise. Electrolux Eureka Vacuum Wins Good Design Award
Electrolux has won a Good Design Award for its Eureka Zuum Z-series vacuums. Electrolux was presented the award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, along with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Read more about it over at Appliance Magazine.

Electrolux Looking at Daewoo
Electrolux is one of five finalists bidding to purchase the now-defunct Daewoo electronics. Daewoo, currently controlled by its creditors, has received several letters of intent from various firms around the world, including Sweden’s Electrolux. Electrolux to Leave Pittsburgh
We recently reported on Electrolux moving its corporate offices from Augusta, GA to Charlotte, NC. We can now append to that report with this brief update: Due to the consolidation of offices, Electrolux will be closing its Pittsburgh, PA office, costing 45 jobs in that area.
Electrolux Moving On Up
Electrolux just announced that its North American headquarters will be moving from Augusta, Georgia to Charlotte, North Carolina. The Swedish appliance company will therefore be moving about 740 jobs to the Charlotte area.
